6th Grade Language Arts
This is my sixth year teaching at Brownstown Middle School. I attended Saginaw Valley State University where I earned my Bachelor's in Secondary Education with a double major in Spanish and English. In 2007, I studied abroad in Spain for six weeks, during which time I stayed with a Spanish family that did not speak any English. It was the experience of a lifetime! I completed my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Teacher Leadership through Concordia University Online.
I am married, and have a cat named Baby and a dog named Triton. As a very family-oriented person, I spend much time with my parents, grandma, and sisters (I have two), and I am also a proud aunt. In addition to spending time with my family, I also enjoy spending time with friends, gardening, fitness, traveling, watching sports (mainly baseball and golf), and reading.
I have many exciting plans for the year to create engaging and effective learning opportunities for us all. I am looking forward to a wonderful 2015-16 school year!
